It's the day before we wrap up this year's Candy Drive and the action never stops. We've been filling boxes upon boxes of candy to build up our Great Wall of Candy for the festivities tomorrow. Helio has been so busy making sure everything is set and the whole office is pitching in to make tomorrow an event we'll never forget.
Jesse Lyons, from Magic Beans came over, dropping off even more candy. He estimated it at around 500 lbs!! I hope we can fit it all! Magic Beans has been so incredibly generous this year with their donation - a true symbol of the generosity of the Boston community.
It's not too late for you to join in on the fun and donate your candy and hand-written notes to the troops. Stop by tomorrow morning and you'll be able to see our ever-growing gargantuan and multi-colored candy Wall for yourself.
We can hardly wait to see all the excited faces tomorrow as students, principals, parents, volunteers, and the media from all over the Metrowest area join together in the spirit of giving. It is amazing for us to see the community and sharing that is centering on this Candy Drive. We can't imagine how happy the soldiers will be to receive all this candy and those beautiful letters. It warms our hearts amidst the first snow of the season to know how much good we all are doing through this remarkable event. Keep up the good work!
Such wonderful contributors have been coming in and out of the office this week. If you haven't already, pay us a visit!
Donations to the Candy Drive will be happily accepted Friday, November 9 at the Wellesley Dental Group on 5 Seaward Rd in Wellesley. We request that donations be dropped off between 8am to 1pm. All the candy and letters will be shipped overseas to the soldiers via CarePacks, a non-profit organization.
