Thank you to our wonderful community for helping make our 10th Annual Candy Drive a huge success. Every year, the drive grows in size and scope. What started as a small candy buy back with a handful of local kids has grown into an endeavor that spans the Metrowest: this year, we have 41 number of schools participating, along with numerous businesses and organizations. Best of all, we have collected more candy than ever before: we have shattered a record of nearly 10,000 pounds of candy. To be exact, if anyone is curious, we collected 9,883.3 pounds of candy.

I’m sure everyone is wondering what we’re going to do with so much candy - and no, we will not be eating it all! The candy will be assembled into care packages and distributed to our troops all over the world. This is no small feat, and we are beyond thankful to be working with CarePacks, a non-profit organization who helps us make this happen.

Thank you to our troops and veterans for everything they do to keep us safe. The dedicated men and women who serve us overseas deserve so much more than we can offer; we simply hope these small treats offer a little taste of home, and a token of our gratitude.

Last but not least, congratulations to the winning school this year: Katherine Lee Bates Elementary School in Wellesley! They received our $1000 Grand Prize for the most candy collected per student.

Stay tuned for more pictures.

Thank You Wellesley Mother's Forum!

September 24th, 2013

The caring team at Wellesley Dental Group had a fun Saturday morning at the Wellesley Town Hall Greens, next to the Wellesley Post Office . We were the guest of Wellesley Mother's Forum. Mother's Forum is a non-profit organization and a member-led social and support group for Wellesley women with young children. Members are required to live in Wellesley or surrounding towns and have at least one child (or be currently expecting). The majority of their members have children between the ages of birth to eight years old.

Serving as the Smile Ambassadors for Wellesley and the surrounding towns this was a perfect way to educate the young kids about brushing and flossing. Events like this help motivate and encourage young children and their parents about being proactive for their dental health. While Dr. Femina Ali was helping demonstrate on our famous mascot, Christopher, with a giant toothbrush Dr. Ejaz Ali was giving balloons as prizes. Everyone that stopped for brushing lessons also got an Oral Stages toothbrush.

The kids also loved having pictures taken with our wonderful Tooth Fairy. It was a successful event and we cannot thank Wellesley Mother's Forum enough for including us. We were so happy to see all of our young smile ambassadors and teach them about the importance of maintaining good oral health. Thank you Wellesley Mother's Forum for being so proactive in the community!

We want to acknowledge the help of our friend Joanna Bandte who brought smiles to tons of children by doing feather extensions in their hair. Thank you Joanna!

Also, we want to give a big thank you to the event directors Diane Conway & Meryl Glassman and also to the Co-Presidents Sabreena Kropp & Meghan Thompson. What a fun community event, we can't wait for to participate again next year for the Fall Carnival! We are also looking forward to hosting our annual Candy Drive for the Wellesley Mother's Forum.

Thank You Women's Business Network!

June 14th, 2013

I just finished my second year as President for Women's Business Network in Wellesley. Women's Business Network (WBN) is built on a tradition of women helping women in the workplace through relationships, resources, and referrals. A program of the Wellesley Chamber of Commerce, WBN is a forum where members can meet, collaborate with, and support other working women. By connecting with other businesswomen, members build and nourish valuable personal and business relationships, and share and expand resources. WBN is a group of business, professional and entrepreneurial women from many diverse fields in the MetroWest Boston area. They take pride in supporting the professional development and success of members while strengthening the professional image of members.

I am so thankful to have had the privilege of leading the group. I am humbled and touched by all the warm and kind words from my leadership team; you made my life so easy. Serving alongside you was an honor; a memorable experience that I will forever cherish. I have learned a lot from you all and so blessed to have you all in my life. WBN will always have a special place in my heart. It is a fun, interactive, and social group and I highly recommend it for all business professionals. WBN will be in good hands under our new President Janice Bogasky and her leadership team. Thank you to the Wellesley Chamber of Commerce for coordinating our events and Wellesley College Club for offering such a nice serene venue for our meetings.
