Are you almost finished with your orthodontic treatment<\/a>? The moment when your braces come off is a milestone worth celebrating! As you anticipate your new smile, though, you may wonder what the process will involve and what you should do to keep your teeth looking their best. This guide will walk you through what to expect during your braces removal appointment and how to care for your smile afterward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The Braces Removal Experience<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On the day of your braces removal, you might feel both excitement and a little nervousness. The good news is that the process is usually straightforward and comfortable. Using a special instrument, your orthodontic team will gently release the brackets from your teeth. You may notice some pressure, but you should not experience pain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the brackets and wires are removed, your care provider will carefully clean your teeth to remove any remaining adhesive.
